My functional pottery incorporates narrative imagery, pattern and form to reflect my attitudes toward play and to encourage a playful approach to life. A handmade vessel infused with bouncing lines, candy colors, low relief and hand drawn elements motivates the user to explore playful messages while cultivating a sense of discovery. Because I emphasize play as a vital part of a studio practice, my vessels serve as a conduit to a playful mindset, poising the user to engage in their own state of play, resulting in an enriched life.
