Shop Update FAQ

Hello and Welcome! Read on for an overview of my shop updates. 

I typically update my shop 4-6 times per year. Each piece is handmade, hand decorated and one-of-a-kind. Pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe unless noted in the listing description.

Do you ship worldwide?

Currently, I only ship to addresses within the United States and to Canada.

When will you have pieces available to purchase?

After I've built up some inventory, I take images, create listings and populate my shop. I send out an email to subscribers, alerting them about the scheduled update. Often I include a preview of the work that will be available to purchase. When the preview is up, pieces are marked "sold out" but on the scheduled day and time of the update, the work will become available in the shop. All preview pieces are listed with a number that will remain consistent when the shop goes live. If you know that 07_Sept Leaping Squirrel Mug is calling your name, you can search for that piece when the shop goes live and add it to your cart.

What do I need to know about the shop update?

Popular items (such as mugs) tend to sell quickly and often more than one person will attempt to purchase the same piece at the same time. Simply adding your selection to your cart is not enough to secure the piece. It can be a bit of a race against time for the most popular items: whoever is able to complete the checkout of that item first will be the person who gets the piece. The best strategy is to know which piece you want (and maybe a backup piece), log in a few minutes before the scheduled time, refresh your browser and keep hitting refresh until the shop page loads with the items. If I've scheduled the update at 7:00, it could take 30 seconds to a full minute past 7 before the pieces are live, so refreshing your browser will be helpful. Purchase one piece and get it through the checkout process as quickly as possible. After your purchase goes through, you may want to keep shopping. I will refund shipping overages (if any) due to processing multiple checkouts. Items purchased within 2 hours of each other, going to the same address under the same name will get combined into the same box for shipment and any shipping overages will be refunded.

When will I receive my purchased items?

I do my best to ship everything out within 3-5 business days after purchase. The journey from the shipping site to your door will take another 3-7 business days in most cases, although it can take even longer for international shipments or delays outside of my control. I use USPS and UPS to ship, according to box size and the shipping address. Most shipments will have a tracking number so you can watch your package move through the system. I cannot be responsible for shipment delays caused by UPS or USPS. If you need your package quickly, contact me by email within 6 hours of your purchase and we can arrange expedited shipping at your expense. 

What if my purchase arrives damaged from shipping?

I ship hundreds of packages each year and have learned how to properly pack pottery for shipping. It is very rare that one of my shipments arrives broken, but all packages containing pottery are insured. Please contact me immediately (within 24 hours) if your purchase arrives broken. In order for me to file a claim I will need photos: the damaged box, the open box showing the packing materials (to prove that the box was packaged sufficiently), and photos of the broken piece. Once you've contacted me and sent me photos, I will refund you the purchase price + 50% of the shipping cost and I will file a claim with the shipper to recoup my costs.
